Secondary section (ages 12 to 16)
Chantemerle secondary section accomodates up to 40 students aged between 12 and 16 years.
The programme follows the French National Curriculum. Non-French speaking students can also enter this section through the French immersion programme.

This extensive programme includes French, Mathematics, English (1st foreign language), German or Spanish (2nd foreign language), Geography & History, SVT (life and earth sciences), physics, technology and computer sciences, civic and social awareness, Music and, Art.
The programme is very demanding and encourages autonomy and self-discipline.

Each student's progress are monitored on a weekly and monthly basis. Small class sizes and individual attention allows us to meet each student’s specific needs.
Students in their final year sit an official external examination, the French 'Diplôme National du Brevet'. This exam certifies their overall general knowledge and is an important milestone for those students who wish to continue their studies in an internationally recognized programme.
Compulsory teacher-directed study time reinforce what students have already learned in the classroom. Upon request and after evaluation, tailored support courses are offered to students who demand closer attention.
