Boarding school in Switzerland offering French curriculum in a warm and safe environment Boarding | Most of our students are boarding and may go home for the week-end and holidays. A small proportion are day students who go home at the end of the day.
Our youngsters are, appropriately separated from the oldest children during the activities, in the dining room, and in the rooms at night.
A team of adults (nurse, surveillants) insure favorable conditions for boarding students.
Boarding life is guided by principles and reglementation which are in their turn based on the school's core values: respect for oneself and others, academic effort, loyalty to the community, classical standards of politeness, active participation in school life. Although the safety of all students sometimes depends on rules being strictly observed, the ultimate objective of a disciplinary system is to build the foundations for harmonious co-existence.
Parental contact is also important: telephone calls with the children may be made as often as needed during allocated times. Meetings with the directors or with teachers are encouraged and can be easily arranged as and when appropriate.

| Rooms and eating | Students are housed in pleasant rooms (2 to 4 depending upon their age) with a magnificant view of the lake
Children are grouped by age and gender. They may decorate their rooms to their taste and use them as a study area, or they may simply relax and listen to music there.
Surveillance shifts are organized in the evening to ensure that the youngest children are well and safely accomodated. Boarding also includes the cleaning and ironing of the cloths, as well as daily cleaning of the rooms
Healthy eating A good diet is important for good health and can help to maintain a healthy body weight, enhance general well-being and reduce the risks of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis and other diseases.
We believe that healthy eating should be achieved by a good healthy diet and regular exercise and place great emphasis on a well balanced diet
Classroom Chantemerle promote the use of compulsory uniform dark blue top in the classroom. Outside the class, uniform is not worn on a daily basis although rules are set out in the dress code, specifying clothes used for sporting activities for example.
