Academic programme

Learning French is the main objective of this programme. Admission is possible throughout the year.

In the context of learning French, students learn non only French as a foreign language but also subjects such as maths, science, history, or geography in French. The programme is based on the Swiss curriculum and can be adapted to the objectives and expectations of the student and its family. Exemple of daily schedule (Monday to Friday) :

  • Morning :
    • 3 hours of intensive French (FLE)
    • 1 hour of Mathematics (in French)
    • (optional) 1 hour of English ESL
  • Afternoon:
    • 1 hour of Science (in French)
    • 1 hour of History-Geography (in French)
    • 1 hour of personal studies
  • Evening: 1 hour of personal studies

Long-term permission is usually granted from the student’s main school, as time abroad and additional foreign languages are highly esteemed by universities, and add value to a student’s future college applications. We recommend however, that parents check first with the school at home how they will validate Chantemerle’s curriculum.

Sports, art and nature activities

After the class and on weekends, Chantemerle proposes a rich programme of sports, art and outdoor activities.

During the ski season, between January and March, Chantemerle proposes a full ski/snow board package with teachers from the Swiss Ski Schools and access to local resorts (Portes du Soleil, Villars, Zermatt).
